Managing Partner

Marko is one of CanLift’s original founders. He has over 21 years of experience in the aerial equipment business. In his current role, Marko directs operational aspects of the business including service, parts and rentals.

Marko launched CanLift’s service and parts division, which continues to deliver double digit growth year over year. Most recently, Marko enhanced this division by introducing equipment reconditioning services.

Marko plays a fundamental role in deciding capital budgets. He is responsible for understanding the market demands and recalibrating the fleet to those demands while exceeding industry-standard returns on investment (ROI).

MANAGING PARTNER

Johnny is one of CanLift’s original founders. He has an extensive background in sales and marketing. In 2003, Johnny became a Licensed Real Estate Agent and quickly became a top-producing representative in a long-established brokerage. His enthusiasm and desire to not only succeed, but differentiate his approach from the traditional marketing methods, led him to partner up with Ryan (read more below) and his brother Marko to develop a new partnership in the form of CanLift.

Over the past 13 years, CanLift has taken the entrepreneurial vision of three diverse backgrounds to become one of Southern Ontario’s most recognized aerial lift equipment rental companies.

Johnny’s current role at CanLift is to manage overall operations and initiate sales strategies. He studied as a Mechanical Technician and attained a Journeyman Tool & Die License prior to switching his focuses to sales and marketing.

Christine DeSousa

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Christine is the Financial Controller at Canlift Equipment Ltd. She holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario and a Chartered Professional Accountant designation from CPA British Columbia. She is a highly skilled business executive with years of experience including as Finance Manager for a Fortune 500 company and multiple finance roles in successful corporations. Christine is recognized as a skilled leader and can be relied on to manage all key financial data and resources.

In her current role, Christine directs all financial aspects of CanLift’s business including accounting practices, budgeting, financial planning, interfacing with the financial community, financial analysis, and monitoring of financial performance. She is instrumental in the success of CanLift’s day-to-day operations as well as long-term business achievements.

When she’s not spending time at work, Christine is outside walking with all her rescue dogs or travelling to warm places.

Ryan Fitzgibbon

TECHNOLOGY & MARKETING

Ryan is one of CanLift’s original founders. He has an extensive background in web development and online marketing, with over 17 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur.

Ryan specializes in building companies through online marketing innovation and has played a critical role in CanLift’s growth and success.

Ryan’s role at CanLift is to direct its online marketing initiatives, develop, maintain and optimize its websites, as well as manage its I.T. infrastructure.

Ryan studied Computing and Information Science at the University of Guelph before graduating from Sheridan College’s Interactive Multimedia post-graduate program.

As the Director of Business Development, Joe is determined to drive CanLift’s growth initiatives forward, strengthening partnerships, expanding market reach, and ensuring that our clients receive unparalleled service and solutions.

Rob Blaik

SERVICE MANAGER

Rob Blaik is a seasoned professional with an impressive 36-year career in the aerial lifts industry. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as Service Manager at CanLift Equipment.

Rob’s journey in the industry began as an apprentice with Select Equipment, where he quickly demonstrated his passion for the field and dedication to mastering his craft. Over the years, he steadily progressed through various roles, including Shop Technician and Road Technician, honing his skills and gaining invaluable hands-on knowledge of aerial lifts.

With his exceptional performance and commitment to excellence, Rob was entrusted with additional responsibilities. He served as a Shop Foreman, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills that ensured smooth operations and efficient service delivery.

As Service Manager, Rob Blaik continues to play a pivotal role in maintaining CanLift Equipment’s reputation for exceptional service, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
